To clarify a few rumors:
Ceramic does not fill scratching, pitting, marring, or any other flaws in your paint. Ceramic does not remove surface contamination like tree sap, bird droppings, or water spot etching.
It violates our conscience to apply a Ceramic Coating without first correcting as many of your paint's flaws as possible. The Ceramic Coating will seal in any and all imperfections for as long as the coating itself lasts.
We use both clay bar and iron decontamination steps to remove as many surface defects as is possible. We then correct your paint by polishing out as many swirls, scratches, buffer trails, and etching as the depth of your clear coat allows.

Process
First Phase: The Wash
The key to a head-turning finish is a careful and thorough wash. After a high pressure rinse and thick (pH-balanced) foam lather, we use one microfiber towel per panel. Working top-to-bottom eliminates the possibility of laying down any additional marring or swirls in your car's clear coat.

Second Phase: Iron Decon
Brake dust, environmental fallout, pollution, and all kinds of other microscopic airborne particles embed themselves into your paint whenever your car is exposed to the elements. This metal then rusts, leading to an immediate breakdown of your car's crucial clear coat. It may not seem like it, but removing any and ALL impurities from your paint is a non-negotiable step in the ceramic coating process.
Third Phase: The Clay Bar
The what?
Exactly like it sounds, this bar of clay is used to pick up any residual contamination in your paint that may not have dissolved during the Iron Decontamination phase. One of the most underrated tools in the detailer's arsenal, this beautiful step takes your paint from 120-grit sandpaper, to baby's-butt-smooth in no time.
Phase Four: Paint Correction
Once we have prepped your paint to a glass-smooth finish, it's time to correct as many scratches and swirl marks as we can without doing further damage. We will painstakingly remove microscopic layers of clear coat, to bring your paint down to a uniform level, reducing the dips and valleys for the light to reflect in, thereby producing a deep, "always wet" finish.
Phase Five:
The Ceramic Coat
This phase is delicate and time consuming, but the payoff is undeniable. Water will sheet off, dust will blow off effortlessly, and your paint won't fade! Congratulations, you just saved yourself several thousands of dollars by avoiding a new paint job! Now go buy yourself something classy so you don't make your car look bad.
Phase Six: Cure
Ceramic coating is a real diva. She needs 24 hours for her curls to set and her nails to dry. If the freshly primed coating gets wet, staining and blotching may occur, and that's mighty time consuming to repair. Such are the pros and woes of coatings that are made to last 3+ years. Keep her garaged or covered for the weekend, yeah?
